Fix outlook not connecting issue

When you are trying to connect outlook 2007 or outlook 2010 with exchange server and then you can face problem or not able to connect with server. So it is require modifying the system registry using registry editor.

If you are using Microsoft outlook 2007 and facing outlook not connecting problem, then find solution below to fix Microsoft outlook problem.

Fix outlook 2007 not connecting issue:

Step1: Type “regedit” in run box from start menu and locate the following subkey –

(HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Outlook\RPC )

Step2: Now go to ‘Edit‘ menu and click on “DWORD Value” from ‘New‘.

Step3: Now type “DefConnectOpts” and hit ‘Enter’ key, then right click “DefConnectOpts” and click on ‘modify‘.

Step4: Now type 0 in the “Value data” box and click on ‘OK‘ button.

Finally exit from registry editor.

If you are using Microsoft outlook 2010 and facing same outlook problem, then find solution below to fix Microsoft outlook.

Step1: Type “regedit” in run box from start menu and locate the following subkey –

(HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\14.0\Outlook\RPC )

Step2: Now go to ‘Edit‘ menu and click on “DWORD Value” from ‘New‘.

Step3: Now type “DefConnectOpts” and hit ‘Enter‘ key, then right click “DefConnectOpts” and click on ‘modify‘.

Step4: Now type 0 in the “Value data” box and click on ‘OK‘ button.

Finally exit from registry editor.

Now restart your outlook again. Next time, I hope it will work.

Note: If you are not familiar with registry editor, then don’t entertain with it.
